Indentify phising emails

INFORMATION

Recently, there have been increased reports of phishing attempts. These emails often appear legitimate, pretending to be from trusted sources, including our IT department, and may request sensitive information such as usernames and passwords.

Here are some tips to help you identify and handle phishing emails:

  1. Verify the Sender: Check the sender's email address carefully. Phishing emails often come from addresses that look similar to legitimate ones but may have slight variations (see attached image 1).
  2. Look for Suspicious Content: Be wary of emails that contain urgent requests, unexpected attachments, or links to unfamiliar websites (see attached image 2).
  3. Do Not Click on Links or Download Attachments: Hover over the link to see the actual URL and verify its legitimacy (see attached image 1).

Please be aware that as your IT administrators, we will never ask you to provide any personal information via email.

Thank you for your attention.

Kind Regards,
LMS IT Team
